OLYMPIAD FORMAT
ROUND I:
WRITTEN TEST
Duration: 105 minutes
Question Types:

Conceptual reasoning questions
-
Quantitative physics problems
-
Multi-step analytical problems
The written test comprises approximately 90% conceptual multiple-choice questions and 10% short-response problems.
ROUND II:
VIVA VOCE
Top-performing students from the written examination will qualify for the viva voce round.
In this round, students will:

Explain their reasoning for select problems
-
Discuss physics concepts with judges
-
Demonstrate conceptual clarity and scientific thinking
Rules Of Competition

Students must arrive on time.

Only approved materials (pens, pencils, etc.) may be used during the exam. Calculators are NOT permitted.

Mobile phones, smart devices, or external notes are strictly prohibited outside breaks and transition periods.

Any form of cheating or academic dishonesty will result in immediate disqualification.

Decisions made by the judging panel are final.

Students must maintain academic integrity and respectful conduct throughout the competition.

Students must arrange for their own transport to and from the location.
Awards & Recognition
Top 6 participants from each category will qualify as finalists.
Finalists will be invited to the viva voce round, after which, the top 3 in each category will be announced as the winners

- Bronze Medal
- 3 Finalists
- Participation
Special recognitions may also be awarded for exceptional problem-solving or conceptual explanations during the viva voce.
